The Department of History of the Darjeeling Hills University is established in 2022. It is a nascent department with faculties with academic excellence and a syllabus well designed and portraying the specialization in Indian history i.e., ancient , medieval and modern period. The syllabus gives a special attention to the study of the regional history particularly of Darjeeling as a part of its course. In years to come the department will introduce PhD program and will produce students, scholars and academicians who will receive acclamation throughout the country by their excellence.
